The UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) will hold its 17th session in Geneva, Switzerland on May 12-16, 2014. A4AI Executive Director Sonia Jorge will be attending CSTD to present the alliance’s country engagement work and discuss the importance of affordable internet for social and economic development.
The CSTD session will focus on progress made in the implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society at the regional and international levels. There will also be presentation of reports on science, technology and innovation policy reviews (STIP Reviews).
